I spent a lovely morning at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline -- beautiful
weather, beautiful birds. I walked out to Cook's Point and back. The
birds were very active. I saw over 40 species.

    Birds of possible interest included:

    2 WESTERN KINGBIRDS *
    PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER *
    Cedar Waxwings (large flock)
    Western Bluebird pair
    Common Yellowthroat *
    Lincoln's Sparrow
    BULLOCK'S ORIOLE pair

*=new for me for this location

The place was thick with Anna's Hummingbirds, including juveniles who were
willing to come quite close. I saw a female Anna's collecting something
off the trail, a behavior I hadn't seen before -- perhaps ants? I saw
    another female collecting moss.

There were lots of shorebirds, many in breeding plumage, at Cook's Point,
but nothing out of the ordinary.

    Good birding,
