Yesterday morning I took advantage of the weather to do some birding in
Oakland and Berkeley. While looking for the Burrowing Owls at the south end
of Martin Luther King Regional Shoreline, which I did not see, I did find a
male Rufous Hummingbird at a small Sticky Monkeyflower plant next to the
bench at the extreme southeast corner. This was reached by walking along
the paved path leading east from the handicap parking on the right of the
    park entry road.

The male Tufted Duck was still along the south edge of the large north pond
at Berkeley Aquatic Park, easily visible. Ken Archambault helped me find
the continuing Northern Waterthrush in the willows at the northeast corner
    of the south pond.
