[EBB Sightings] Franklin Canyon

I thought I'd report seeing a Coopers on nest (last week - 4/21/06) in a
Pecan tree (no leaves yet, so it was a clear view) at the entrance to
"Cottage Gardens", 2600 Fr. Can. Rd.: just look about 40 feet up at "2:00
o'clock". This week three were seen flying, so the young must have fledged;
and "momma bird" hasn't been seen on the nest.

Also seen last week:

Bullocks Orioles 
Western Kingbird - private property at 445 McHarry Ranch Rd.
House Wren - driveway to above address, off McHarry.



Of course lots of Quail and I'm hearing but not seeing Turkey throughout the
hills; heard Starlings.

PS if anyone wants a picture of the Coopers Hawk nest, please let me know.
I think they're getting more numerous than Red-tails, at least 'around
here'!
