I found a pair of burrowing owls today off Tassajara Blvd. in Pleasanton. If
you exit 580 and go to the north side of the freeway, turn right on the
deadend street called Northside or something similar. It's the first right turn
over the freeway. Go about 100 yards and look due west in the field. This is
where I found two owls in a burrow about 20 yards from the street. There is
usually a kestrel in the area too. I also found a single owl along Dublin
Blvd. 100 yards east of Tassajara on the north side.
