    East Bay Birders, 
    
    This morning I swung by Berkeley Aquatic Park to see if the TUFTED DUCK was
    still there.  He was along the east shore of the main pond with two female
    Greater Scaup.  Last week he was pretending to sleep but this time he was
    preening most of the time.  Photo is at:

    Also the NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH was still at the northeast corner of the
    south pond at Berkeley Aquatic Park this morning.
    
    For those who have not been, Take I80/580 N from Emeryville.  Take the
    Ashby/Shellmound (1st Berkeley exit).  Follow the signs for Shellmound to a
    "T."  Turn left on Shellmound (name changes to Bay) and it dead-ends at
    Berkeley Aquatic Park.
