Fairly reliably, White Throated Swifts can be seen
over LLNL every day from late afternoon thru dusk.
This is a huge (100+) flock, that circles and calls
over the NE corner of the Lab. I've confirmed that
they are visible from the visitor center parking lot
off of Greenville Rd. The parking lot is publicly
accessible, if you're not a Lab employee. From the
lot, look to the northwest, or walk north along
Greenville Rd, looking west. Note that security may
enquire what you are doing with the binoculars... but
they are allowed outside the fence.
