This morning in Tilden there was an acorn woodpecker
between the visitors' center and Jewel Lake. This is
    an uncommon bird for Tilden.

Also of interest was a swan (tundra, I suppose)
heading west toward the bay. Perhaps it could have
been coming from Briones or San Pablo Reservoir. Has
anyone seen tundra swans in the area? This is the
first swan of any type that I have seen in 25 years
    birding Tilden.

    Good Birding!
