We found the Eastern Phoebe at Del Valle Regional Park today around 3:00 and
observed it for the next 30+ minutes. It was working the trees that line
the large grassy picnic area just north of the dry creek bed that the road
going to the boat launch crosses. This location is near the site that Art
Edwards described in his posting on February 18. Thanks Art.

On Sunday, February 12, we birded the Robinson Rd./Flannery Rd. area and
relocated the Mountain Plovers. Other notable species were several
Ferruginous Hawks and a Prairie Falcon. On the return trip to Antioch, we
took Sherman Island Rd. and birded Sherman Island. In addition to the usual
suspects we saw 100+ Sandhill Cranes, numerous Greater White-fronted Geese,
six Wilson's Snipes and eight Ringneck Pheasants (two of the roosters were
    sparring).
