Some good birds I saw today, February 4, around the
    Livermore area:

Greater White-fronted Geese - 2 on Jack London Blvd, w. of Concannon
Road, with many Canada Geese, at about 7:20 a.m.

Eurasian Wigeon - 1 male at the Las Positas Gold Course, seen from the
entrance road off of Airport Blvd., just before reaching the parking lot,
with about 40 American Wigeons, at about 7:30 a.m.

Red-necked Grebe - 1 just off the beach area at Shadow Cliffs Regional
Park, which is on Stanley Blvd between Livermore and Pleasanton,
    at about 8 a.m.

Cackling Goose - 1 at Shadow Cliffs, on shore between the beach area
and the boat rental pier, with a few Canada Geese.

Osprey - 1 flying around over Shadow Cliffs lake, at about 8 a.m.

    White-throated Sparrow - 1 (white-striped morph, immature) at Shadow
Cliffs, just s. of the intersection of the road from the first parking lot
and the road to the boat ramp (across the street from the Seven Limbs
picnic area). I've seen this bird several times since October, usually on
the levee just s. of the water slide parking lot.

Hooded Merganser - 1 male in the creek just s. of the water slide parking
log, seen from the foot bridge that crosses the creek.

Prairie Falcon - 1 perched on a rock at Flag Hill, seen from Geary Road,
the entrance road to Sunol Park.
