[EBB Sightings] Lesser Goldfinches

I live in Berkeley and have been feeding goldfinches on our back deck for a 
few years.  This year we have had far fewer goldfinches, both American and 
Lesser, than in past years.  And as people might recall, last year there was 
quite an influx of Pine siskins.  This year we haven't had any.  If the 
lower goldfinch numbers doesn't represent an overall trend, there may be a 
more local explanation, i.e., that another household about a block away 
stopped feeding goldfinches (they may have moved), and this might have 
influenced some of  "our" birds to look for another neighborhood to hang 
out.
