    EBBers,

At 10:30 this morning at Eastshore
    State Park along the Berkeley
    waterfront I saw a BLUE-GRAY
    GNATCATCHER and two WILSON'S SNIPE.
Both species were along the trail
that starts across the street from
    the Seabreeze Restaurant (located
at the junction of University Ave.
and the frontage road along the
west side of Highway 80 in
    Berkeley) and cuts diagonally
across the "meadow" to the Berkeley
    Marina. The Gnatcatcher was in
clumps of Coyote Brush about 100
yards from the beginning of the
trail, near an 8 foot tall rusted
pipe along the right hand side of
the trail. The Snipe were a little
    further west along the trail,
hanging out in the vernal wetlands
on both sides of the trail. A
    Yellow-shafted X Red-shafted
Northern Flicker was in the same
    Coyote Bushes as the Gnatcatcher.

    Good birding,
