[EBB Sightings] Spring in the air

I heard the characteristic metallic whine of Selaphorus hummingbird wings 
today on the West Ridge Trail in Oakland. I caught a glimpse of a male doing a 
"shuttle display" in an oak, near blooming eucalyptus. The male looked very 
rufousy for the split second I saw it but couldn't be sure what species it was 
exactly, except it's a sure sign of spring.
