EB Birders: I visited my Canada Goose(who I'll call
Nimitz) at the Oakland Animal Shelter today. He(or 
she) is doing very well. Active, feeding , in a big
cage. They tell me they'll be able to find a home for
it eventually. 
  So what have I learned from all this? #1: Oakland
Animal Shelter is a good place. #2: In fact the CHP
does stuff like herding animals off the roadways all
the time, at least that's what the officer told me.
