Adele and I saw the previously reported Eastern Phoebe at Del Valle
park on Monday at 9:30 a.m., aboug 30-50 yards S. of the big sign
"Del Valle Regional Park Launching Facility", which is at the south
end of the parking lot for the boat ramp. Turn right immediatly after
passing the toll booth. If you miss the sign, turn around at the end of
the road, and drive back to the exit from the parking lot.

The Eastern Phoebe was in the row of trees on the west side of the
road,, between the exit and a dry creek.

Several other birders also saw the Phoebe while we were there,
including Jim Lomax, a "County Birder".

There were two White Pelicans and dozens of Eared Grebes in the
lake, but no sign of the resident Bald Eagle(s?).

My other Alameda Co. sightings were Dec. 16, 1979 at Alameda Golf
Course, with George Bing, and January 27 - March 20, 1993, with
    George Bing and mob.
