    Good Afternoon

There were plenty of birds along the Emeryville shoreline this morning. The BRANT'S GOOSE was on station off Pt Emery, accompanied by rafts of COOTS and SCAUP (LESSER methinks, though possibly mixed). There was also a very tattered and lonely SCAUP on the beach - maybe sick? Snoozing along the rocks were groups of SANDERLING, WILLET and BLACK TURNSTONE.

The local BELTED KINGFISHER and SPOTTED SANDPIPER topped a motley group of other regulars.

I shot off a gigabyte of images using my new digital camera. The results tell me put the manual away and focus less on technology and more on composition!

      Have a nice day.
      Cheers
      Peter
