[EBB Sightings] White-throated Sparrow in Berkeley

Hi EBBers,

As I was watching a squirrel clinging to our squirrel-proof 
feeder--wishing it could crawl through the one-inch grillwork--I 
noticed a bird foraging on the ground. It was a White-throated Sparrow, 
the tan-striped form, as handsome as I have ever seen. On occasion, we 
have had an individual of the species in our yard, which is south of 
campus just below Telegraph and Derby. My sighting seems timed with 
others reported in recent days.
