There have been several sightings of pileateds in this general area over
the last several years. Glad to hear that they are continuing.

    Hi all,
Up at the Skyline Road in Redwood Regional Park, I heard and briefly saw
(without binos) a Pileated Woodpecker at 2:45 on Sunday. It was near the
junction of West Ridge Trail and Redwood Bowl.

fyi- a northern waterthrush was also reported from Lake Merritt today on
    the hotline.
