[EBB Sightings] Really Ruby-Crowned Kinglet

Wandered down to Lake Merritt to take advantage of this afternoon's 
gorgeous weather; usual suspects for the season, including a trio of 
Horned Grebes swimming in formation and more Buffleheads than I recall 
seeing together before.

But the highlight of the day was in a tree on Bellevue, about halfway 
between Palm and Van Buren - a pair of Ruby-Crowned Kinglets were 
flitting about, and one was so excited it looked like he was wearing a 
red shower cap. I'd never seen more than the merest fleck of color 
before, nothing like this; it covered the whole top and sides of his 
head. And he kept it up for a long time before making it disappear....
