    Good Afternoon

I admit we were sceptical of the unknown birders
verbal report but Derek Heins, Jenny Allen and I
followed his directions anyway. And, what do you know,
there it was - a Greater Flamingo standing in the salt
ponds just beyond hundreds of assorted shorebirds.

If you wish you may follow our path: Go west along the
southern paved section of the Alameda Creek trail.
Proceed maybe 1/2 mile along the channel until you
come to the steel tower (where a side trail branches
south). Search the salt pond on your front left. In
reality, the large pink bird is easy to see from some
    distance.

    Have a nice day.
    Cheers
    Peter
