I heard a Varied Thrush this morning on the Dunn Trail in Redwood Regional
Park. Might have heard one about a week ago but was not sure. The exact
spot, which is often good for this bird, can be reached by taking the Dunn
Trail from the old Regional Park headquarters on Skyline to its
intersection with the Graham Trail, then go to the right downhill to the
bottom of the hill, where you'll be surrounded by redwoods, ferns, bay,
etc. Also a good spot for Winter Wren.
    Cheers.
