    Hi Jay and Kathleen,
Cool! I haven't seen any here, but they have been
reported from east of the hills in Tilden and Wildcat
Canyon and periodically from the UC Berkeley campus
(typically Strawberry Canyon but occasionally a single
bird as far west as Mulford Hall near the West
    Circle).

    Cheers,
    Alan

While taking a walk in Berkeley yesterday, we stumbled
across a group of 6 male wild turkeys and a number of
surprised onlookers. It was the first time I'd seen
wild turkeys in Berkeley, but North Berkeley does
attract quite a nice variety of wildlife generally.

I'm wondering if anybody else has seen turkeys in
    Berkeley before (especially Alan Krakauer?).
