[EBB Sightings] Saw-whet Owl

Birders: I saw a Northern Saw-whet Owl(a lifer for
me)at Sibley Volcanic Preserve today at 3:30 pm. I was
on the trail that goes toward Tilden. I was at a place
in the trail where it begins to ascend after a long
descent. The stream goes under the trail at this point
through a culvert. 
   I probably would have missed the bird entirely
except for the excited,repeated calling of a Spotted
Towhee.I got the Towhee in my binocs and then saw the
form of the owl. It was a good thing to have my scope
because the bird was in very thick trees.
