[EBB Sightings] This morning East of Livermore.

Some highlights from a drive this morning East from Livermore
on Patterson Pass Road, Midway, Mountain House, Kelso,
Byron Highway, Lindemann, Hrdlyn, S. Bruns, Altamont, and
Laughlin Road:

Burrowing Owl - 4 at Patterson Pass 5.47, 1 at Patterson Pass 7.1, 
     1 on S. Bruns, 200 yards N. of Cristensen Rd.

Blue Grosbeak - Male at Patterson Pass 6.21, in ravine, singing.

Rock Wren - 2 at Patterson Pass 6.9, on rock ledge.

Swainson Hawk - 2 on Kelso E. of Mountain House Rd.,
    4 on Lindemann Road,  50+ (yes, fifty!) on Hrdlyn Rd,
     in alfalfa field, with about 10+ Great Egrets, 6+ Great Blue Herons,
     and hundreds of Crows.  They must have been feasting on something!

Golden Eagle - Immature on Laughlin Rd., at base of Brushy Peak.

Also, Mallard, Ruddy Duck, Turkey Vulture, Red-tailed Hawk,
 Northern Harrier, Kestrel, Killdeer, Pigeon, Morning Dove, Black Phoebe,
 Western Kingbird, Scrub Jay, Crow, Raven, Cliff Swallow, Barn Swallow,
 Loggerhead Shrike, Starling, California Towhee, Lark Sparrow, Meadowlark,
 Redwinged Blackbird, Tricolored Blackbird, Brewer's Backbird, Cowbird,
 Bullock's Oriole, House Finch, House Sparrow.
