Albany Adult School had a trip to Sunol today. It was a bit different than
the trip yesterday, with many fewer tanagers and orioles. Noteworthy were a
NASHVILLE WARBLER near the bridge, a knock-out YELLOW WARBLER upstream from
the bridge on French Joe Trail, two BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHERS at the same
place, two ROCK WRENS on McCorkle Trail just below Canyon Trail (on a
lichen-covered rock) and a CANYON WREN (heard only) not far from the
visitor's center. Driving into the park, a PRAIRIE FALCON flew over our
car.
