[EBB Sightings] Eared Grebes donning fancy plumage, Lake Merritt

Down toward the Embarcadero end of the lake (between Grand Avenue and 
Bellvue) this afternoon, I saw several pairs of Eared Grebes starting 
their breeding plumage - not complete, but the gold fans at the eyes 
were clearly visible.... And the cormorants are well launched, and the 
egrets getting started....
