Yesterday, 3/7, we saw the previously described SWAMP SPARROW in the
Springtown area of Livermore. We arrived about 9:15 am and were there
about 1 hours before sighting the bird, whom we watched for about 10
minutes. The bird was in the same area described by others, just before
the barbed wire fence. A fellow birder that we waited with said she had
arrived an hour before we did. Patience definitely pays off with this bird.

There were lots of other birds to watch while we waited. Highlights
included a GOLDEN EAGLE and at least one SORA. This is a nice spot for
    hawk-watching.
