A brief trip to the north end of Berkeley's Aquatic and extensive scoping
failed to yield a Tufted duck; another birder, Woody, from Gallo, said he
had dipped too after long search. Bummer!

There was a spectacular a gorgeous GREEN HERON at the very northernmost
shore and lots of Bufflehead and Scaup, one YELLOWLEG (Lesser?) bobbing and
    teetering and a few GoldenEye.

A quick trip to the Berkeley Marina in vicinity of the Pier also failed to
yield a hoped for OldSquaw but several COMMON LOON; LESSER SANDPIPER; HORNED
GREBE; etc all well into breeding plumage.

What work is taking place at the Cesar Chavez Park? Looks like a portion is
being converted into marsh instead of grassland. I live on the Left Bank so
am not current with East Shore State Park doings.
