[EBB Sightings] Common Loon close to Berkeley Pier

While collecting plankton off the Berkeley Pier at 9:15 this morning, 
I spotted a Common Loon in full summer plumage just 100 feet south of 
the pier and about 100 feet from shore. What a beautiful bird and it 
was very close to shore! To get to this pier, take University Ave. 
all the way west. --Ted--
