[EBB Sightings] Jack Laws / Bird Illustrator / Oakland tonight

The Oakland Bird Club is hosting a talk by Jack Laws,
illustrator of Sierra Birds: A Hiker's Guide (2004)
tonight in Oakland.

free admission.

A good time will be had by all.

Details:

Come meet Jack Laws,
author and illustrator of
Sierra Birds: A Hiker?s Guide (published in 2004).

He will address an open meeting of the Oakland Bird
Club on Wednesday, February 23rd.
The public is invited to attend.

The speaker will give an illustrated presentation
about the natural history of the Sierra Nevada, as
well as the process of creating a field guide, and
will bring original illustrations painted in the
field.

Jack is an associate at the California Academy of
Sciences and a regular contributor to Bay Nature
magazine in his "Naturalist?s Notebook".

Refreshments will be served.
Other club business will be addressed after the
speaker.
Nonmembers are welcome.  No reservations are required.
Admission is FREE.
