Sunday morning there was a beautiful pair of Hooded Mergansers in the
quite high Moraga Creek, seen from the bike trail about 200 yards
upstream (north) from Canyon Road. The trail and creek can be accessed
from Canyon Road just south of Camino Pablo or next to the bridge on
Country Club Drive behind the fire station.

A lower section of the creek can be accessed from Valle Vista staging
area. The mergansers probably can be anywhere along the creek, which is
not accessible between Canyon Road and the bridge reached from Valle
Vista. There commonly are Wood Ducks around and below that bridge.
