[EBB Sightings] Cosumnes Wildlife Preserve

Took a trip out to the delta area today to Cosumnes, which is just east 
of I-5, using the Twin Cities exit. Turn right at the end of the exit 
and follow the signs, or go to http://www.cosumnes.org for maps and 
info. Park at the visitor center and walk the trails, or view from the 
road and do the driving tour through cultivated fields (pick up map in 
the visitor's center).

Sandhill Cranes are resting there, as well as Tundra Swans. Also saw 
Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Cinnamon Teals, Northern Pintails, 
White Tailed Kites and Northern Harriers, among others.

Makes for a great outing, even though it is not in the East Bay.
