Our GGAS trip on Sunday, Feb. 6 at Mt. Trashmore and Frank's dump produced 55 bird species total, and a great turn out of 17 birders.

Of special interest were the Red knots and Avocets just starting to come into their breeding plumage.
Also, three species of swallows including Barn, Cliff and Tree.
One Green-winged teal pair was seen.
There was a nice assortment of raptors including a Red tail pair who appear to be at the very beggining of their nesting activities. One adult was seen on the nest for a short time. The pair appeared to spend the remainder of the morning foraging. No mating or pairing displays at this time.
