We took a short trip down to the Berkeley waterfront this morning, Jan. 3.

About 10:30 am, saw the 2 BURROWING OWLS along the rocks along the water 
near the NE corner of Cesar Chavez Park.

About 12:00 noon, saw the female LONG-TAILED DUCK from the Berkeley Fishing 
Pier.  She was south of the pier, seen from around the post label "FP25".
