It's surprising that two species which seem so different morphologically, 
should be closely related enough to hybridize. I guess that's why the DNA 
folks surprise us so much. You cannot always go by morphology when assessing 
relatedness. Or perhaps, an aspect of morphology, like the bill, may seem 
like a profound difference when really it is not.
