We spent a couple hours at Arrowhead Marsh before and after high tide. The
tide was amazingly high, and about 25 birders showed up. The entire area
around the boardwalk was flooded, and all 3 rail species were seen
swimming. I once spotted a Clapper Rail riding a piece of debris like a
raft. The triangular island where the Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow hangs
out was the only terra firma besides the main land.

We counted over 50 species. Highlights included:

    Nelson's sharp-tailed sparrow
    Clapper rail (at least 8)
    Virginia rail
    Sora (2)
    Peregrine falcon
    Osprey
    Greater white-fronted geese (12)
