At about 10:45 AM, saw a female WESTERN TANAGER from
the patio of the Free Speech Movement Cafe (in Moffit
Library) at UC Berkeley. A campus map can be found
    at:

Although neither my friend nor I had our binoculars
with us, the bird was only about 15 feet away in one
of the trees growing against the west side of the
patio. No red anywhere, bill wasn't huge like a
summer tanager, and the wing bars were very obvious.
After hoping around for a couple of minutes, the bird
flew sw towards Valley Life Sceinces Building.

    back to work...

    Cheers,

    Alan
