    Dear EBBers,
I've been watching the feeders since reporting on the Steller's jay with
180-degree decurved bill, and found him yesterday at my NE Berkeley site.
He's still surviving by eating with face pressed against the ground and
picking up loose seed from the side of his mandibles, both of which are
curved back toward his throat. I have photos, but am not sure where/how to
post same. The Oakland bird dubbed "Captain Hook", was, as I recall, a
    scrub jay.
    	Good sightings to all.
