Hiked the Old Briones Road/Briones Crest trail this morning, a blown out windy day.....There were lots of golden crowned sparrows around. Saw 30+ horned larks at the meeting of Crest Trail. In upper Sindicich lagoon were mallards(several), buffleheads-2, a couple of gadwalls and at least one ring neck duck. There was a hovering kestrel along the ridge, and a pair of white tailed kites sky dancing. Nearing the parking area was RT hawk, blue bird, cal towhees and 100+ meadow lark flock.
