[EBB Sightings] Veterans Park

Today while geocaching at Veterans Park I noticed a few good birds. Near =
the two steel bridges I found 4 Hooded Mergansers, 3 males and 1 female. =
Later way up above the valley floor on a open hillside I stumbled upon a =
Short Eared Owl. The owl was trying to shelter from the rain in the long =
grass. I didn't see the owl until it sprang from it's hiding place just =
a few feet from me.=20

It's difficult to bird and geocache at the same time but I did get into =
areas of the park that I have never been. Good birding.
