[EBB Sightings] Baywatch 11-25-04

Hi all:

Before Amy could hand me my chore list, I scooted out
for a bay watch. 

West end of Marina Pkwy:  12 Black Turnstones on the
rock jetty.  Flock of American pipits, 20 or so landed
in the grass at the knoll.

West end of Central:  Peregrine in the radio tower.

West end of Gilman:  Spotted Sandpiper and Pacific
Loon.

Betw. University and Ashby: 6 Redheads mixed in w/a
sizeable Scaup flock.

Betw. Ashby and Powell:  4 Redheads swimming together
but not associated w/a flock.

There were sizeable flocks of Greater Scaup mixed
w/Ruddy Ducks and Bufflehead (primarily), Western,
Clark's, Eared, and Horned Grebe seen at most
locations.  After the first raft, south of Marina
Pkwy, that numbered in the thousands, I stopped
estimating.
