An EEB alert which may interest SSB 'ER.
I was out early searching for the Condor but did not locate the bird.

    Greetings all,

A California Condor has been reported at or near the yard of Alice (and
T.M.?) Quinn at 585 Regalus, Livermore 94550. Alice called Evelyn
Cormier (current OAS President),, who called me ca. 6 PM today, 12 Nov.
    2004.

The report included a checking with Ventana Wilderness at:
          Ventana Wilderness Society
          19045 Portola Dr. Ste. F-1
          Salinas, CA 93908
          Phone 831-455-9514
          Fax 831-455-2846
          E-mail info at ventanaws.org

They informed Alice (and whomever) that a Condor was "missing" and
wasn't transmitting. Also, that they thought it might be north, even
    Alameda County.

This bird may still be in our area. Good luck in locating such a
    remarkable remnant of our past.
