[EBB Sightings] Hayward Shoreline

Web-based map resources that are excellent are the
East Bay  Park's Hayward Reg. Shoreline Map
(www.ebparks.org; look for "maps", and then look for
Hayward) and the Bay Trail's maps. (www.abag.gov... I
think. Look for Alameda County).  Both are excellent
to keep in the car for that emergency goose or
longspur hunt.

Exit west off of 880 southbound; follow to
parking/staging at end of the road (3 miles? +/-)

Mt. Trashmore
Shown on the Hayward Reg. Shoreline map as "landfill"
adjacent and just west of the trailhead parking area.
It occupies the large raised area southwest of the
parking area.

> Grant Ave entrance to the shoreline
880 south to Hesperian; just south of 238. Turn right
on Grant and follow to the end.
> 
Mouth of San Lorenzo Creek
Either take the trail off the west end of Grant Ave,
follow to the bay and head south, or, take the trail
at the west end of Winton, follow to the Bay and head
north.(see maps)
> 
> Intpretive Center
880 S to Hwy 92 W to Clawiter exit and then left on
Breakwater (it parallels 92 westbound and takes you
right to the Interp Center.
