    All:

On Saturday, Maria and I, along with other birders, tracked a group of
longspurs on Mt. Trashmore. Al DiMartini, on our arrival, told us the
light-colored bird in the group had been identified, finally, as a
Chestnut-Collared Longspur. We followed what was probably the same group,
focusing on the distinctive bird. By complete chance, both Maria and I saw
its tail dramatically spread, with what is apparently the distinctive
triangular shape of the Chestnut-Collared Longspur. I think Donna Heim has
    already reported this main point.

    Yours, John M.
