[EBB Sightings] holiday sightings

A few belated reports now that I'm back at my computer:

A female ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK has been visiting my sunflower seed feeder
since Thanksgiving (11/25).

Also on Thanksgiving, the CATTLE EGRET was back at the Rotary Nature Center,
Lake Merritt, in downtown Oakland. BARROW'S GOLDENEYES continue.

Yesterday (11/28) at Arrowhead Marsh, several of us refound the CACKLING
GOOSE and the flock of WHITE-FRONTED GEESE. CLAPPER RAILS and COMMON
YELLOWTHROATS in the marsh but no Sora. I also refound the hybrid AMERICAN X
EURASIAN WIGEON out in Mitigation Marsh. A couple SAY'S PHOEBES and a
LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE along the south fenceline. Still no sign of Burrowing Owl.
