    East-Bay Birders:

This morning an adult male Slate-colored Junco (alias Dark-eyed Junco) made
a brief visit here at the feeder in the company of a flock of over 50
White-crowned, Golden-crowned, and House Sparrows. This was also my first
Slate-colored Junco in Alameda County. This is only the second time I have
ever recorded a Junco at the feeder with the first being a male "Oregon"
    Dark-eyed Junco on 12-1-1994.

I had first found 6 Pine Siskins at the feeder on Friday, 10-22-2004. And
there was one still there today, 10-30-2004. My previous records for Pine
Siskins at the feeder are 11-13-1994 and 11-27-1994.

I have lived here in Livermore since March 1994 and have never had a single
Fox Sparrow come to the yard. Perhaps that will change this season.

Mourning Doves are not a problem. Six to eight Mourning Doves pick at the
dropped seed below the feeder. There are also Rock Pigeons in the
neighborhood, but these seem to refuse to some into yard to feed.
