[EBB Sightings] Hair Woodpecker

Hi East Bay Birders,
Yesterday, Saturday 10/23 during my morning birding I found a female
Hairy Woodpecker. This woodpecker had very little white spotting on the
folded wings and was crisply white and black. The bird was working the
old walnut trees between the parking area and riparian at Del Valle
Regional Park off Arroyo Road. Also a male Phainopepla was in the bare
Buckeye trees after the second gate. I counted a total of 50 species in
3 hours of birding. Good birding.
