Today at the Hayward Shoreline -

Both the Winton Ave parking area and Mt. Trashmore had nothing unusual. Hayward Landing had 46 Surfbirds on the rocks. They flew off to the north as the tide covered up the rocks, but they did not stop at Frank's Dump. I did not see as many shorebirds at Frank's Dump, thanks to a Peregrine Falcon. San Lorenzo Community Park had the usual Ross Goose and a Cackling Goose. Offshore from the mouth of San Lorenzo Creek was an Ashy Storm-Petrel. A small pond just south of the creek, between the creek and Ora Loma Sewage Treatment Plant, had a Lesser Yellowlegs. 3 Clapper Rails were in the marsh where the creek flows into the bay.

    Good birding
