I saw my first Gold Crowned Sparrow of the season in my Richmond N&E
backgarden this Sat. September 18. A very robust bird, beautifully marked
back with practically the entire crown, gold. The bird looked as though it
might have an injured leg as it was hopping about on one and only
occasionally on two but it was plump and very healthy looking otherwise.
