    Birders,

This morning at the Albany Bulb (take Buchanan St. exit off Highway 80 =
in Albany and go west 1/2 mile to parking lot) there were many resident =
and a few migratory passerines. In particular there was a nice mix of =
both at the point where the main, wide, upper trail going west narrows =
to a single person pathway. On the right is a large, green Yucca-like =
plant clump. Fennel, Himalayan Blackberry, and other exotic plant =
species share this area with Coyote Brush, Fennel, Poison Oak, Willow, =
and Blue Elderberry. Among the 17 passerine species I observed there =
    were:

    Willow Flycatcher (1)
    House Wren (1)
    Yellow Warbler (5)
    Fox Sparrow (2)
    Lincoln's Sparrow (6)

There were 6 Whimbrel in the large group of shorebirds, ducks, and =
Canada Geese at the Albany Mud Flats and a Say's Phoebe flycatching just =
    north of the parking lot.

    Good birding,
