    That's interesting.  Around where I live in south Berkeley they are gone by
    the end of April.
    
    Where I walk my dog at Pt. Isabel Regional Shoreline there are a very few
    White-crowneds through the summer, which I assume are the resident coastal
    race.  Around September 20 the numbers of White-crowneds began to grow as
    the fall migrants arrived.
